Barcelona president Joan Laporta spoke about the possibility of signing Manchester City star Bernardo Silva, to support Barca's ranks this season.
Silva's name was recently associated with a move to Barcelona, at the request of coach Xavi Hernandez, to complete the building of a strong Barca team that would restore the championships to the Camp Nou.
"We will do our job, build a competitive team with a great coach like Xavi," Laporta said, in comments reported by the Catalan newspaper "Sport".
As for Bernardo Silva, Laporta confirmed that he did not talk about the player with the City leaders, and said: "There was nothing with Bernardo Silva, there was no case, and now it is too late."
Silva was with his team, on Wednesday evening, at the "Spotify Camp Nou" stadium, during the match between Barcelona and City, which ended in a positive draw with three goals for the same, and the Barca fans applauded the player strongly.
It is worth noting, that there are reports that confirmed that Manchester City did not intend to forfeit the player for less than 90 million euros.
