Bayern Munich crush Victoria Cologne by five

Bayern Munich passed the first round of the German Cup with ease, after defeating Victoria Cologne at home (5-0), today, Wednesday.

The Bayern quintet came through Ryan Gravenberch, Mathis Till, Sadio Mane, Jamal Musiala and Leon Goretzka in the 35th, (45+1), 53, 67 and 82 minutes.

The Bavarian team dominated the game since the start of the match, but it did not pose a threat to the home side's goal until a quarter of an hour passed through a shot fired by Mathis Till from outside the penalty area, which was blocked by goalkeeper Ben Fool.

And the goalkeeper of the owners of the land returned, to defend his goal, by blocking another shot from Till, which prevented him from reaching his net, before he blocked another attempt from Janabri near his goal.

Contrary to the trend, Victoria Colin managed to surprise the guests with a goal from the first real opportunity through Simon Handel, who received a pass inside the penalty area before firing a shot at the goal, but the referee canceled the goal due to offside.

Bayern seemed to face goalkeeper Fule alone, after the latter returned to tackle a third attempt by Teal before the ball bounced and reached Kimmich, who made a strong shot, which the goalkeeper saved, continuing to withstand the Bavarian flood.

Kimmich took a free kick on the border of the Victoria Colin penalty area, but the goalkeeper continued to prove his ingenuity by blocking the player's powerful shot, turning it into a corner.

After a series of attempts, Bayern penetrated the impregnable fortress of Victoria through Gravenberch, who received a pass on the edge of the penalty area, to meet the ball with a left shot, which Ful could not tackle this time.

And then the Victoria Cologne goalkeeper's blade was broken, after he received the second goal at the end of the first half with the feet of Tell, who hit the net this time after several attempts, ending the half with a lead of Bayern (2-0).

At the beginning of the second half, the visitors strengthened their progress with a third goal through Mane, making the task of returning to Victoria Colin more difficult.

Substitute Musiala made his mark in the meeting as soon as he came down, adding the fourth goal after a pass he received inside the penalty area from Muller, to pave it for himself and easily put it in the net.

Despite this, Victoria looked for a ceremonial goal with a cannonball from Sontheimer, but Ulrich was vigilant and pushed it away with his fists.

Midfielder Leon Goretzka proved that he did not need a lot of matches, after he shot the ball as soon as he descended, until he reached the penalty area and put it in the net, consolidating the visitors' progress with a fifth goal in his first appearance after missing the season opener due to injury.
