The European Football Association usually announces the ideal squad for the previous season, in the draw for the group stage - which will be held on Thursday - but it was leaked in a technical report issued today, Wednesday.
The squad included 4 players from Liverpool and Real Madrid. The two clubs met in the final in Paris, where Real Madrid won the Cup for the 14th time in its history.
Real quartet Thibaut Courtois was chosen as the best goalkeeper, Vinicius Junior the best young player, Karim Benzema as the best player, in addition to midfielder Luka Modric.
The list also included the Liverpool defense trio: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson, while Fabinho occupied a position in the midfield.
This means that there is no place for any of the Liverpool strikers from last season, such as Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane, in the perfect squad for last season.
The squad is complemented by Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger, who moved to Real Madrid, Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, and Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe, who scored six goals despite the French team's exit from the final price.
The squad was decided by the UEFA Technical Committee, which is made up of 23 well-known names from the world of football, such as Gareth Southgate, David James, Roberto Martinez and Tim Cahill.
Carlo Ancelotti was named coach of the ideal squad, after the 63-year-old Italian won the continental title for the fourth time in his career.
