The top ten positions in the FIFA rankings for national teams remained unchanged, according to the latest version of the classification, issued today, Thursday.
Brazil maintained its top spot in the world rankings, with a score of 1837.56 points, followed by Belgium in second place with 1821.92 points.
Argentina ranked third, France ranked fourth, England ranked fifth, Spain ranked sixth, Italy ranked seventh, the Netherlands ranked eighth, Portugal ranked ninth, and Denmark ranked tenth.
The African champions Senegal maintained the top spot in the African team rankings, ranking 18th in the world, followed by Morocco (23) in second place, Tunisia (30), Nigeria (31) and Cameroon (38) and Egypt (40) in sixth place.
Iran topped the rankings of the Asian continent, ranking 23rd in the world, followed directly by Japan (24), South Korea (28), Australia (39), Qatar (48), Saudi Arabia (53), UAE (69). and Iraq (70).
Thus, the Moroccan team topped the rankings at the Arab level, followed by Tunisia in second place, then Egypt third, and directly behind Algeria in fourth place, while the Qatari team came in fifth place, and the Saudi Green team ranked sixth, then Emirates, Iraq, Oman, Bahrain and Jordan.
And next September will witness an international pause, which is sure to result in wholesale adjustments in the classification of the teams, after playing matches in preparation for the World Cup "Qatar 2022".
Despite stopping this August, 58 international matches were held in the men's competition, most of them in the continents of Asia and Africa, according to the official website of FIFA.
