Guardiola: Rimontada gives us confidence, and Halland did nothing special

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola confirmed that his team's return to the score during the recent matches will give the players more confidence, after the victory over Crystal Palace.

City overturned two goals without a response, to win 4-2, on Saturday evening, at the Etihad Stadium, in the fourth round of the Premier League.

City lost in the last round match, against Newcastle, 3-1, before leaving the match with a 3-3 draw.

"We have the ability to score goals, but lately we are receiving a lot as well," Guardiola told Sky Sports after the match.

"It's good to be able to change the outcome, that gives you more confidence most of the time."

On his opinion of the vicissitudes of the match, he said, "They were well organized, and we did not do what we should have done in this type of matches."

And he continued, "What Haaland did today, he gave all his energy, it is not something special."

"Bernardo Silva, the kind of player who, when things go wrong, can go forward and make the difference, is probably our best when things go wrong."

And he concluded, "We lost two points against Newcastle, but we could have won the chances that we had, and we learned from that match that he appeared in today's meeting."
