Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp expressed his happiness with the great victory that his team achieved at the expense of Bournemouth (9-0), on Saturday evening, in the fourth round of the English Premier League.
"Very good, we wanted to show the reaction and get the best version of ourselves," Klopp said in comments after the match.
"We scored great goals, the match was decided but we kept scoring. It was about continuing, not insulting Bournemouth, we really respect them very much."
"It's about putting the opponent under pressure, I can get the guys on, they deserve more, Elliot is a special player and he scored a great goal, everything was perfect today."
Commenting on Trent Alexander-Arnold's goal, "I don't like it very much when a player is 35 yards away and the fans cheer him for a shot, but in this case it went well."
"It was important to go out and play football, we have a different game on Wednesday against Newcastle."
He added, "Today the weather was great and we played beautiful football. At the very least, today we will not need to answer this question (about the lack of victory)."
And he concluded, “If you want to succeed in this league, you must show consistency and continuity. This is what we must do now. We will watch the Newcastle match tomorrow, and we will see what we can do in front of them.”
